‘Crisis point’: Mark Levy blasts leaders as COVID runs ‘out of control’

If the alarm bells weren’t ringing over COVID, they should be now, Mark Levy says.

Amid rule changes and politicians trading barbs, infections are soaring among the general population, with NSW today recording a new daily case record of 11,201 people.

Mark Levy is fed up with the spectrum of attitudes from politicians across the nation as their constituents continue to be plagued by a number of COVID-borne difficulties.

“The testing situation is a debacle and it’s reached crisis point in the state of NSW,” he said.

“We can finger-point all we like at Queensland and travel requirements and all that sort of thing, but this is on Dominic Perrottet, Brad Hazzard and Stuart Ayres.

“It’s all well and good for [Mr Perrottet] to blame Ms Palaszczuk – yes, she has carried on like a petulant child throughout the pandemic – but the buck stops with the NSW Premier.

“We’ve got numbers through the roof and he stands there day after day shouting the same crap that we need to get on with life.”

Mark says it’s time rapid antigen tests be made more accessible and testing requirements be made the same across the nation – a job for the Prime Minister.

“Where’s the federal government in all this?” he continued. “I would’ve thought this was a chance for the Prime Minister to take control.

“I know it’s the state and territory pathology labs that are doing the testing but surely the Morriosn government can come to the party and help out.

“The Prime Minister apparently cancelled his Christmas holidays, but we haven’t heard from him lately, have we? We haven’t heard from him in days!”

Mark flagged if the state of affairs continues as it has been, issues the nation is already experiencing with testing and isolation will be severely escalated.

“The next few days, the next week is going to be out of control, out of control.”
