The North Queensland Cowboys have every reason to celebrate, after last night’s victory over the Cronulla Sharks.

Facing the Sharks at Shark Park is always a tough task. But Valentine Holmes was back to haunt his former club, with his 44 metre field goal booking the Cowboys a place in the preliminary final.

It’s an incredible turn around for the team, considering they finished 15th on the NRL ladder last season.

The Continuous Call Team asked the Cowboys’ Reece Robson whether the team thought they could make it this far.

And Robson had a simple answer: “yeah, we did”.

He said the coaching staff has had a positive impact on the players, and have “got our team going.”
