Council under fire over ‘staycation’ that cost ratepayers thousands
The City of Ryde council is under fire over a “staycation” that cost ratepayers up to $10,000.
More than a dozen councillors and staff stayed at the Hyatt Regency in the CBD last Saturday night for a planning weekend, even though it’s just a 20 minute drive from their local area.
“It’s actually outrageous,” Labor MP Rose Jackson told 2GB Drive.
