North Sydney Council will offer council land to hospitality venues looking for extra outdoor dining space.

The use of the land will be free of charge until the end of January.

Mayor Jilly Gibson told Ben Fordham they want to help businesses recover post-lockdown.

“It could be on a spare space on the pavement, it could be on the edge of a park, it can even be a parking space out the front of the restaurant.”
