‘Could do better’: Former Deputy calls for better flood crisis management
Former Deputy Director-General of NSW SES Chas Keys believes the state of NSW is not prepared enough for flood crisis management.
Mr Keys told Jim Wilson, “In general we are not as well prepared as we should be.”
“We could do better than we do.
“We don’t really have populations that have come to grips with the reality of flooding and learn from previous flood events to better manage them next time.”
