Senator Cory Bernardi will drive a bus around parliament house on Wednesday morning in the name e-cigarettes.

Called the Vape Force One, it’s been touring the country hearing from smokers who have changed their lives by making the switch to e-cigarettes.

15,000 people die every year from cigarette-related issues a statistic vaping may change.

Ben Fordham speaks with Senator Bernardi.

“It’s being put on by the TaxPayers’ Alliance, a group that is openly fighting for freedom and taxpayers’ rights.

“This meets all of those things because it will enable the government to spend less on anti-smoker campaigns.

“It will allow people to get their nicotine fix, to which they’re addicted, without all the other harmful chemicals.

“In the end, it will allow the government to probably pick up a bit of extra revenue by charging tax on those products.”
