Convoy delivers ‘crucial’ fodder to flood-affected farmers
38 trucks have travelled to NSW’s North Coast to deliver 40 tonnes of fodder to farmers still struggling after the flooding disaster over the long weekend.
Need for Feed’s Chairman Graham Cockerell has organised and distributed fodder to more than 100 farming families, along with hampers, dog food, vet supplies and general supply care packs.
Lions Australia has made its eighth trip to the regions since February and Mr Cockerell told Deborah Knight it’s about helping people with a tough winter ahead.
“The most important thing is letting them know that somebody cares.”
