‘Conflict on the horizon’ – The pivotal role China could play in Iran war
Michael McLaren has revealed he suspects there could be more fighting in the near future between Iran and the US as Donald Trump pays Xi Jinping a visit in Beijing.
The Afternoons host has pointed out that China has long depended on Iran for fuel and is now being forced to secure fuel from new markets.
“Washington would be hoping President Xi could have a quiet word with whoever is running the show in Iran and tell them to pull the pin,” he said.
“I still believe the Americans will have to finish this thing themselves. But I must admit how that happens (and when) is certainly looking less linear to me than it did even a month ago,” he added.
