Clinton Maynard expressed his disappointment with the road map that was unveiled last week, hinting people could go back to the pub before kids could go back to school.

Robert Booy, Infectious diseases expert, told Clinton Maynard it is more important for kids go to school than for people to go to the pub.

“What we need to do is optimize the situation in the schools to make it a low risk environment for kids to attend,” he said.

“The risk in Primary and High school of transmitting the virus between students is very low.

“There is all sorts of ways that the Education Department is working on to allow kids to get back to school.

“I remain hopeful we can get there earlier (kids going back to school).”
