23-year-old Brisbane boy Cedric Dubler has taken home the bronze medal in the men’s decathlon.

But he tells Alan Jones he’s taken the medal off for now.

“It’s weighing me down, and I’m struggling to walk as is.”

An almost impossible discipline, the men compete in 10 different events over two days.

Cedric says it’s now time to “let the body and mind recover”.

“It was a rollercoaster competition in terms of emotion.

“From here, I spend a couple of weeks to just rest and recover.”
