Coalition Senator dismisses ‘petty’ claim from ‘the Senator who cried racism’

A Coalition Senator has addressed Lidia Thorpe’s claim she was “racially profiled” at Canberra Airport.

The Greens Senator is claiming the episode took place in December while attempting to board a Virgin flight.

Queensland Senator Amanda Stoker told Ben Fordham the complaint is “pretty petty”.

“Basic respect and patience goes a long way.

“As Senators, we get treated really well in airports … there’s a lot of understanding shown.”
