Clubs NSW Chairman says cashless technology shouldn’t be mandatory

The state’s clubs sector is reiterating its support for introducing cashless technology for poker machines but says the technology shouldn’t be made mandatory.

The Premier is pushing for all pokies to become cashless, in a bid to crack down on problem gambling and money laundering.

Clubs New South Wales Chairman George Peponis told John Stanley, an evidence-based approach is needed.
