After spending time with Latrell Mitchell from the Rabbitohs, Labor Party Leader Chris Minns has pledged to support regional Rugby League.

“We had some young footy players from the local competition around Redfern that came just before school to have a kick around with Latrell and he got down and took photos with over 50 kids,” Mr Minns told Mark and Freddy.

Half a million dollars a year will be put towards supporting Rugby League competitions in the west and regional NSW if Labor is elected.

“It’s really practical money that goes towards player travel, club insurance and match day expenses,” said Mr Minns.
