During lockdown one of the most popular activities was adopting dogs and cats.

Channel 10 has brought the experience of adopting a new pooch to our TV screens with their new show, The Dog House Australia.

Narrator Dr Chris Brown told Deborah Knight the show pairs the right dogs with the right owners.

“We have a chief match maker.

“His basic goal is to look at all the different dogs in the shelter, who come from a variety of different life experiences, and ultimately try and work out who they are best matched to when a family or couple arrive.

“You don’t want to match them with a family or with someone where it doesn’t work.

“For the first time in these shelter dogs’ lives, it’s in their hands, it’s up to them to control the situation.”
