NSW Health Minister Ryan Park has initiated an evaluation to assess the advancements made since the Hon. Peter Anderson delivered 107 comprehensive recommendations to boost hospital security in 2021.

While speaking to Ray Hadley this morning, Minister Park revealed he has requested Mr Anderson returns to lead this essential review.

Mr Anderson’s recommendations from his 2021 report were devised to secure the safety of staff, patients, and visitors in NSW hospitals.

In response to this, Minister Park has asked Mr Anderson not only to evaluate the progress in implementing these recommendations, but also to provide additional guidance to enhance the implementation process.

Minister Park also highlighted the crucial necessity of establishing urgent care centres to efficiently handle the surge of non-urgent calls to emergency services.
