The Cassaniti family is calling for NSW law to be changed so that senior managers on worksites can be criminally charged for negligence.

18-year-old Christopher Cassaniti lost his life in April after 17 metres of scaffolding collapsed on him at a Macquarie Park construction site.

Now his family and friends are campaigning for the law to be changed so that criminal charges can be pressed against senior managers on worksites when their gross negligence results in death.

A close family friend of the Cassaniti family, Phil Mineo, says they’re calling it ‘Christopher’s Law’.

“We don’t want this to happen again to a mother or father or another child. We have to put this in place.”
