Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink saved from closing down
The Canterbury Olympic Ice Rink has been saved from closing down.
The rink has been training Olympic athletes and helping amateurs learn how to skate since it opened in the 1970s – and it’s one of the last ice rinks left in Western Sydney.
Aussie Winter Olympian Danielle O’Brien told Deborah Knight, multimillion-dollar funding will be put towards fixing the venue.
“I think realistically it will be up and running by the end of 2024.”
