Can you play tennis doubles in Sydney’s lockdown?

Ben Fordham

The tennis community is calling for clarity around double vaccinated people.

Sydneysiders can hit the tennis courts during lockdown to play in singles, however fully vaccinated people are increasingly looking to play in doubles.

Currently, double vaccinated people can get together in groups of five for exercise or recreation.

Tennis NSW CEO Lawrence Robertson told Ben Fordham the government needs to provide clear guidance.

“All we’re saying to the government is, if you can tell us that you’ll hold the individual responsible then I think our clubs will be a lot more comfortable to open the doors.”
