Bushfires rage across NSW as smoke blankets Sydney
There are six emergency level bushfires burning across the state as hot and dry conditions continue.
Fires have reached the coastal town of Bawley Point on the state’s south coast.

The fire at Gospers Mountain in Wollemi National Park is spreading with fires on the Central Coast threatening the areas of Mangrove Mountain, Mangrove Creek, Lower Mangrove and Greengrove.
RFS spokesperson Greg Allan gives Ross Greenwood an update.

Three firefighters have been taken to hospital after fighting the Green Wattle Creek fire near Camden.
They have been taken to hospital with minor injuries.
A Total Fire Ban has been declared for Greater Sydney while smoke blankets the city as Sydneysiders begin their evening commute.
7 News reporter Mylee Hogan tells Ben Fordham firefighters and residents alike are fighting the fire at Bawley Point.
“The fire has come right down into the back of the village of Bawley Point.
“A wall of flames hit there, it was all hands on deck.”
