Crowds flock to Bunnings to get behind our farmers

Bunnings stores across New South Wales have been very very busy helping our drought-stricken farmers today.

The hardware giant has joined forces with Buy A Bale, putting on a sausage sizzle at all its stores to help farmers doing it tough in the bush.

Rural Aid CEO Charles Alder calls in to tell Chris Smith “it’s gone off”.

He says queues have been spotted all along across the state, from Coffs Harbour to Penrith.

“It’s been a phenomenal response,” Charles says.

The Rural Aid boss tells Chris since the public has been so enthusiastic about the cause, Bunnings has decided to do a nation-wide sizzle next week.

“Every store in the Bunnings network in all other states, next Friday the 10th of August, will be running a Buy A Bale sausage sizzle.”
