A man has been arrested after crashing his car and running down the Bruce Highway naked on the Sunshine Coast yesterday.

Police say a car driven by the man had earlier crashed into several vehicles and a guardrail while travelling southbound near Kulangoor, bringing traffic to a standstill.

The man then fled his car and ran fully naked down the highway before hitching a ride on the side of a horse float.

Police later took the man into custody and are still trying to determine the circumstances that led to the incident.

“What about the poor horse?” Ray laughed. “Wouldn’t it be terrified!

“They don’t pay coppers enough to deal with this sort of insanity!”
