Police have found two out of the three prisoners who escaped from a Rathdowney prison on Sunday afternoon.

The escapees include 32-year-old Daniel Badcock, and 20-year-old Osiah Pilton, who have now been found and 28-year-old Antonio David Mene, who is still on the run.

Badcock and Pilton were found by police at Northgate, a suburb in Brisbane more than 100km from the correctional centre, around 10:00am.

Badcock is serving a year for weapons or explosives offences, Pilton has a year and nine months for entering a dwelling with intent and Mene is serving a three-year sentence for illegal use of a motor vehicle.
