The Vatican has confirmed Pope Francis has tragically passed away at the age of 88.

The Pope had been struggling with his health after recently catching pneumonia in both lungs in February, after suffering from a respiratory illness.

“The 88-year-old had been forced to cancel some appearances, often at the last minute,” Mark Levy said.
