Some health measures will be brought back in NSW until January 27 to slow the spread of COVID-19.

Premier Dominic Perrottet has announced from midnight tonight, masks will be required in indoor settings.

The two square metre density limit rule will be reintroduced for indoor hospitality settings from December 27.

Anyone working over the holiday period is encouraged to do so from home if possible.

QR codes will return in a limited capacity, as was reported following yesterday’s National Cabinet meeting.

Mr Perrottet said anyone notified they are a close contact should only come forward for PCR testing if they begin to experience symptoms.

NSW recorded 5,715 cases of COVID-19 today.
