Five lions are back in their enclosure after an earlier breakout at Taronga Zoo.

Ben Fordham Live has confirmed lions escaped their enclosure at the Mosman zoo.

All animals are now in their exhibit, according to Taronga Zoo.

Listener Andrew has a family member doing construction at the zoo.

“He put a message out that there are lions on the loose,” he told Ben Fordham.

“There are alarms going off and all the workers are locked down in a room somewhere.”
