Five teenage girls arrested after police chase
Five teenage girls have been arrested after a police pursuit in Sydney’s west.
Just before midnight yesterday, a police dog unit was travelling on the Great Western Highway, when they detected a vehicle which they believed to be stolen, travelling at a high speed in Blacktown.
Police tried to stop the vehicle but it failed to pull over, and a short time later the vehicle collided with a truck at an intersection and all five occupants fled.
They fled on foot into nearby bushland, now all five girls have now been arrested and taken to Mt Druitt Police Station.
The driver is being treated for wounds after she was allegedly bitten by the police dog.
Enquiries are ongoing.
