Elon Musk’s spacecraft engineering corporation, SpaceX, just launched a huge Starship rocket that blasted off, flew for three minutes, and tumbled back down to earth. 

The Starship rocket is said to be the most powerful he’s ever built, but the un-piloted maiden flight exploded in a cloud of flaming debris only minutes after liftoff.

The failed test flight from South Texas has cut short a key step in Musk’s development of a rocket vessel to eventually take humans to the moon and Mars.

“The entire crew was happy with the test, saying it was the first integrated launch,” Harley Carnes told Ben Fordham.
