‘Makes me ill’ – Call made on allied health cap for veterans
The Coalition have blocked the Labor government’s cap on allied health services for veterans.
Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Michaelia Cash has questioned how the government could think it would be appropriate to save money by capping how much veterans receive in services.
“We voted to scrap this cruel veteran cap …. the Labor Senators voted against [our amendment] and spoke against it,” she said.
She said she felt ill watching veterans being forced to fight to be heard by the government.
“[The] Prime Minister lost control of the economy, and looked at them and said, ‘I can find a budget saving’,” she added.
