BREAKING: Bad banks to be hauled before parliament

Following the recent spate of bank closures this week, Senator Gerard Rennick from the Liberal Party addresses the Senate’s investigation into the shuttering of regional branches.

“It’s so important because I believe that regional towns in Australia need a branch in their towns”, said Liberal Senator Gerard Rennick.

Julia Angrisano, the Finance Sector Union Secretary welcomes the inquiry and shares the concerns that need to be addressed in the Australian Senate.

“The issue for bank workers in regional Australia, like in a place like Junee, is that their redeployment opportunities are much more limited when their bank closes.”
