A 74-year-old man has been arrested on the NSW south coast over alleged historical, serious sexual abuse at boys’ home in Sydney’s north-west.

It is alleged the man committed the offences when he was a former youth officer at the Daruk Training School at Berkshire Park near Windsor.

Strike Force Eckersley was formed in late 2016 to investigate a series of complaints referred by the Royal Commission into child sexual abuse.

The investigation centred on a string of alleged child sexual assaults that took place between 1965 and 1985 and this latest arrest is the third in as many months for Strike Force Eckersley detectives.

Investigations are continuing and police are urging anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or use the online reporting page: https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au/
