Hundreds of more intimate details of Medibank customers have been released by hackers demanding $15 million in ransom.

The new data released includes people’s mental health status, drug and alcohol addiction cases, and HIV details.

Tech expert Trevor Long told Ben Fordham the data should be “normalised” to take away its value.

“The more we do that the less value the hacker will ever get from the data.”
