The federal government has scrapped exemptions for fully vaccinated Australians to leave the country.

From November 1 vaccinated Australians will be able to come and go from NSW without any quarantine.

Travellers will be able to book flights from today, without being asked for an exemption.

Nine News Political Reporter Chris O’Keefe told Ben Fordham Health Minister Greg Hunt has finalised the changes.

“One of the issues that people were having … they were trying to book flights for Christmas and the international airlines wouldn’t allow you to book a flight because you needed an exemption even though it was post November 1.

“[Now] you can just go like it was in 2019.”
