The Blues have made their way to Perth ahead of the second round of the 2025 State of Origin season.

NSW Blues team performance manager Frank Ponissi has opened up on the team’s training session with the Western Force Rugby Union team.

“We just thought we’d just grab a couple of the Western Force young academy players outside back, just to add to the strength of the team … it was a really good session,” he told Adam Hawse.

Ponissi also says there’s no better player to replace Mitchell Moses than with Jerome Luai after a serious calf injury ruled out the half-back.

“And typical Jerome Luai, adds so much energy and character to the team,” he said.
