‘Bit to read into’: Dutton on Albanese’s unanswered calls to Netanyahu

Opposition Leader Peter Dutton says there’s an awkward situation occurring with Prime Minister Anthony Albanese and Israel’s leader Benjamin Netanyahu, who has yet to respond to the PM’s calls as the conflict in Israel and Gaza continues.

Dutton told Ray Hadley “there’s a bit to read into'” with the Israeli Prime Minister known to be very cooperative with fellow world leaders

“He’s (Anthony Albanese) put a request in it seems to Mr Netanyahu, and it’s telling that Mr Netanyahu hasn’t taken that call,” Dutton said on 2GB.

“Whereas he’s very happy to speak to other world leaders, so I think there’s a bit to read into that.”
