Hosting a talkback radio show means you have to have your finger on the pulse.

That involves listening to the radio, reading newspapers, watching news programmes and staying on top of politics.

It’s safe to say Ben Fordham is well and truly across the media landscape.

So, when he comes across an outstanding piece of work he gets excited.

“I think we can blow the whistle, sound the siren and call full time because I’ve found what I think is the newspaper column of the year.”
