Ben Fordham has slammed Australian politicians for “embarrassing” behaviour in parliament.

A Liberal senator has apologised after being accused of making derogatory growling noises while Jacqui Lambie was speaking in parliament.

Liberal Senator David Van has apologised “unreservedly” for interjecting but does not “accept the characterisation” of his remarks.

“Senator, if you weren’t making growling sounds or dog noises you wouldn’t be apologising,” Ben said.

Peter Dutton and Anthony Albanese were also throwing around insults like “glass jaw” and “boofhead”.

“All of this name-calling and dribbling distracts from the real job.

“These people are being paid good money and acting like idiots,” Ben said.
