NRL legend and commentator Johnathon Thurston has told Adam Hawse he’s proud of his former Origin teammate, now new Maroons coach Darius Boyd.

He says Boyd has been through a lot but will find success in the new role.

“That perseverance and Rugby League has given him so much; he’s been through so much on and off the field … I’m extremely proud,” he said.
