Australian country singer Beccy Cole has revealed her personal battle with mental health led to her making a new album with an old friend.

While the entire music industry was re-emerging from a difficult few years, Beccy Cole was suffering one of the worst years of her life personally.

Beccy’s mental health was in severe decline. After checking into a centre she discovered art therapy and music therapy.

One of her close friends, Adam Harvey, contacted her and believed that the two cutting up an album could be the best medicine.

And so The Great Country Songbook Volume 3 was born.

Beccy Cole and Adam Harvey joined Deborah Knight on Afternoons to promote their new album.

“The guy’s a legend … I wouldn’t be here without him.”

The two are now heading on tour between September and October.
