Former deputy Prime Minister Barnaby Joyce is among a group of federal politicians in Taiwan for bi-partisan talks.

Trade, security and agriculture will dominate discussions, in the first meeting of its kind in three years.

Barnaby Joyce told Luke Grant he’s not concerned about the negative reaction from China over his visit.

“Taiwan is a major trading partner, it’s important to understand how important trade is between us.”
