The Master Builders CEO has told 2GB Afternoons the industry needs to clean its act up after the High Court ruled against the CFMEU.

Denita Wawn says the ruling, which will allow the federal government to continue its administrative takeover of the union, is a relief.

“The industry’s needed certainty, the High Court action has meant there’s been a lot of hesitancy for people to come forward … that puts a stop to that,” she said.

“We’ve seen from the evidence … is that there are some bad actors in our sector where they be unions or people that own businesses in the industry, enough is enough, we’ve got to clean up our act,” she added.
