A Queensland couple who travelled to the UK to meet their new grandson have illustrated how London life contrasts with Australia. 

Despite the UK being overwhelmed by coronavirus infections last year, Keith and Di Todd arrived to a freer city than the Gold Coast.

Restrictions were lifted across the nation on July 19, on what is dubbed ‘Freedom Day’.

“Life seems to be getting back to normal here,” Mr Todd said.
