Australian facing the DEATH PENALTY in America
An Australian woman is facing the death penalty in the US.
Lisa Marie Cunningham is awaiting trial after she allegedly killed her 7-year-old stepdaughter in February 2017 in Arizona.
Her trial has been delayed more than 18 months and due to COVID, there’s a backlog of cases.
Prosecutors allege her stepdaughter Sanna died from sepsis infection from head and foot injuries linked to her living conditions.
If she’s found guilty, Ms Cunningham could become the first Australian executed in the United States.
