Two Australians have made Winter Olympic history on Wednesday.

Scotty James has snagged Australia’s first Olympic medal in the men’s snowboard.

James, 23, took home the bronze medal with a score of 92.

Raging favourite Shaun White of the USA won the gold medal with 97.75, with Japan’s Ayumu Hirano winning silver.

Meanwhile, Harley Windsor has also made history as Australia’s first Indigenous Winter Olympian.

And as James Willis told Alan Jones, Windsor’s remarkable journey to the Olympics began almost entirely by accident.

Windsor, 21, took to the ice with partner Ekaterina Alexandrovskaya for the figure skating on Wednesday, but failed to qualify despite a strong score of 61.55.
