Aussies holding back booking a holiday as confidence wanes

Consumer advocacy group Choice is calling on the government to protect consumers to give Australians confidence to book travel plans.

They found only 23 per cent of Australians feel confident making travel plans in the next 12 months.

Alison Elliott told Deborah Knight almost 1 in 2 Australians have had to cancel travel plans since March 2020.

“We’d like to see Australian governments implement clearer and fairer rules so that all Australian travellers know where they stand should their plans have to be cancelled due to events out of their control.”
