Aussies ditch online shopping this Christmas

Nine out of 10 people are planning to ditch online shopping for the good old brick and mortar stores to do their Christmas shopping.

After the launch of Amazon in Australia it was feared Australian retailers would go under, but according to retail king Gerry Harvey, this just isn’t the case.

He speaks with Deborah Knight about why people are heading back to the shops.

“The reality is, most people buy in shops. They don’t buy online.

“There are a lot of problems with online.

“Sooner or later, most of those online retailers around the world will just go out of business.”
