Aussie tourists warned as Indonesia bans sex outside marriage
Indonesia’s Parliament has passed a controversial criminal code, that includes laws to ban sex outside marriage.
It also makes it illegal to insult the President.
Critics say the Bill, which has been decades in the making, undermines civil liberties.
Former WA Government Commissioner to Indonesia Ross Taylor told Luke Grant the law will be a damaging blow for the country’s tourism industry.
“If you really wanted to pass a law that did everything possible to stuff up Bali’s recovery from COVID, this is a brilliant way to do it.”
