Aussie could be ten-pin bowling’s Bradman

Article image for Aussie could be ten-pin bowling’s Bradman

He’s the world’s best ten-pin bowler and he’s an Australian.

Jason Belmonte grew up in Orange in regional NSW, with his parents building a bowling alley a few weeks after his birth.

He’s now the world’s best bowler and close to becoming the greatest in the sport’s history.

The 34-year-old has won nine major titles, earned fame and fortune and become the face of the sport around the world, all while using his unorthodox two-handed technique.

Chris Smith spoke to Jason while he’s back in the country on holiday.
