Atlassian co-founder to Jazz up the South Sydney Rabbitohs

South Sydney Rabbitohs CEO Blake Solly has welcomed the “modern and innovative” influence of new co-owner, tech billionaire Mike Cannon-Brookes.

The Atlassian co-founder has bought a minority share of the club, adding the Rabbitohs to his portfolio alongside NBA powerhouses the Utah Jazz.

Mr Solly told Mark Levy and co-host Mark Taylor in the absence of a financial advantage, celebrity stakeholders like Russell Crowe and Mr Cannon-Brookes give South Sydney a “perception advantage”.

“When we caught up last week, we just had a quick chat about some of the differences between the NBA and the NRL.

“Mike was good enough to offer … for our staff to speak to some people at the Jazz about how they do things over there, and if there’s anything that we can learn and improve from, we’ll do it.”
