Ashbury attack: 92-year-old woman allegedly stabbed in her own home
A woman has been charged with attempted murder over an attack on a 92-year-old in Sydney’s inner west.
An elderly woman is in a serious condition in hospital after she was allegedly assaulted and stabbed at her own home.
Emergency services were called to the scene at Ashbury yesterday after a personal alert button was activated.
The 92-year-old woman was found bleeding heavily from her head and her stomach.
She was taken to Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in a serious condition, suffering several stab wounds.
She has undergone surgery for trauma to her face and body and is currently in an induced coma.
A 35-year-old woman, believed to have been cleaning the home, has been charged with attempted murder.
She will appear in court today.
