NRL legend Mark Geyer has weighed in on the latest PNG Chiefs signing, with Joey Manu returning to the league as their “007” signing.

He’s told Sports Today host Adam Hawse that their backline is looking formidable but agrees there are concerns, as their notable signings will be over the age of 30 by the time they enter the competition in 2028.

“That’s a given [that their age will play a factor] … I don’t think any young guy without a family is going to go up there to live in a compound for a couple of years,” he said.
